Twix Brownies
INGREDIENTS
Crust Layer:
1 package of Shortbread Cookies (12-14oz package)
6 tbsp unsalted butter
Caramel Layer:
1 14oz bag of caramel bits
2 tbsp heavy cream
Brownie Layer:
1 box triple chocolate chunk brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)
1/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping
Chocolate Topping:
1 bag of milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
INSTRUCTIONS
Grease a 9x13 pan and line with parchment paper
Using a food processor, pulse cookies until they resemble sand.
Melt 6 tbsp butter and add to cookie crumbs, stirring until crumbs are moist. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan
Prepare the brownie batter as directed on the box, and mix in 1/4 cup of hot fudge ice cream topping into the brownie batter (straight from the jar, not heated)
Pour batter on top of the cookie crust and bake as directed from the box. Let cool to room temperature
Place caramels and cream in saucepan and cook over medium heat until caramels are melted and the consistency is smooth. Stir constantly
Pour over cooled brownies. Let it cool until it is set
Melt the chocolate, butter, and cream together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until melted and creamy
Pour over cooled caramel layer
Let cool completely. Enjoy!
